Squava

Software Developer, 2/2017 to current

Front-end software design and development in Angular, including UI/UX. Expansive use of industry technologies including HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Angular, PrimeNG, etc.

Set up local development environments including Gulp and Webpack. Managed npm packages and other basic dev ops tasks. Worked with legacy PHP/JQuery code, and refactored old parts of the app using Angular.

Refactored old CSS including old Bootstrap code. Restructured the project in Sass/SCSS. Planned, designed, prototyped new pages and features using Sketch and InVision.

Squava is a SaaS business management software including online time tracking, management, invoicing, accounting, and forecasting for professional service firms and small businesses.

Tonaquint Networks

Visual Designer, 7/2014 to 9/2016

Designed and produced all company marketing collateral from design to print, including fliers, billboards, booklets, t-shirts, banners, magazine ads, web ads, social media, and more.

Designed and built portions of Tonaquint sites in HTML/CSS/PHP/JS. Redesigned and rebuilt Stone Cliff WordPress sites. Performed updates and maintenance on web sites/servers.

Directed employees and partners in following brand identity guidelines. Planned print, digital, and social media marketing campaigns. Implemented analytics to gather campaign metrics.

Helped this Internet startup grow its customer base and sell (at profit) to a larger company.

BYU-Idaho

Content Designer, 9/2012 to 12/2013

Developed content for the online anatomy and physiology courses for the BYU-Idaho Pathways program.

Used photoshop and illustrator to create images and study guides for all the systems in the body. Took original photos in coordination with the hired photographer.

Created screencasts, tutorials, and oversaw new hires as they came and went on the project. Worked with the back-end developer to create the online flash card guides for the course.

Jason Shaw, the professor and creator of the project, used me as his main assistant in planning the projects next stages, discussing and planning material for the new in-house textbook, and more.
